From now on, we will donate 10% of the profits from our sales in Italy to the La Forza di Un Sorriso association, a non-profit organization with offices in Urbania and Milan.

La Forza di Un Sorriso is dedicated to providing assistance to orphaned or abandoned children in Senegal, particularly through LA MAISON DU SOURRIRE in Mbodiene. This orphanage, founded by Alba Carpineti in 2012, welcomes children from 0 to 3 years old, providing them with love, care and a safe environment for their development.

Experience has shown the difficult living conditions in the region and the high rate of orphaned or abandoned children. Infant mortality and maternal deaths during childbirth are still frequent, as access to medical care is reserved for a small part of the population. The LA MAISON DU SOURRIRE project aims to ensure, at least during the first years of life, which are the most vulnerable, hospitality, food and adequate care, accompanying the little ones with love and professionalism towards the family that has been temporarily denied to them.

Núria and Rafael created their project Acupuntura Pel Món, which began in Morocco. They later settled in Senegal, where they founded different therapy centres. They also started the BAO TAO permaculture project, planting moringa trees, known for their healing and nutritional properties, and producing moringa oil in collaboration with the local community. This project not only generated employment and a sustainable income for the women of the village, but also fostered their empowerment and economic independence.

Their commitment to education was evident in their active involvement with the local school. By immersing themselves in the needs of the students, they discovered a seemingly small but significant detail: providing a boiled egg twice a week to the students had a noticeable impact on their academic performance. With that simple action, Núria and Rafael not only fed bodies, but also minds eager for knowledge. Today, their commitment to the school continues and they are planning to organize a school canteen.
